Missions

Capital City Christian Church currently allocates 20% of the total budget to support Missions. The Missions Committee meets periodically to direct our Missions effort and funds. When selecting which missions to support, our goal has been to focus on fewer missions in order to have a greater impact on the missions that we do support. In addition to giving money, we desire to get the congregation more actively involved in missions activities.

Each month, the largest portion of our mission funds is committed to the support of foreign missions:

Currently supported Foreign Missions:

We primarily support our missionaries Jesse & Sophie Bentley, who work with the CMF GlobalScope college campus ministry in Salamanca, Spain. (See www.globalscopespain.org )

We also continue to provide monthly support to Louis & Patsy Hall for the Caribbean Christian Outreach in Grenada.

Supported Missions:

Park Springs Christian Center is also known as “camp”, since many C4 youth go there. (See www.parksprings.org )

Campus Christian Fellowship has full-time ministries at UNC-CH, NCSU, ECU, and UNC-W campuses. (See www.campuschristianfellowship.org)

“Special Needs” is a broad category that is used to support our local Food Pantry ministry, various short-term mission trips, and other requests.

Johnson Bible College (www.jbc.edu ) is located near Knoxville, TN.

 

Roanoke Bible College (www.roanokebible.edu ) is in Elizabeth City, NC

 

In the Domestic category, we provide monthly support to True North Church in Garner, NC. Jon McClarnon is the Lead Planter. Prior to starting True North Church, Jon was a frequent guest speaker at C4. He is a gifted communcator and passionate leader. True North meets Sundays at 10am in the White Oaks Cinemas. The College Ministry category is used to fund various college student related activities.
